Palm Oil Imports in February
By CnAgri2013-02-27 11:13:17 Print China’s palm oil imports registered 472,733 MT in January, 50% less than the month before but 6.7% more than the same period of last year. Malaysia announced to raise export tariffs of crude palm oil to 4.5% in March, which will increase import costs of palm oil and stimulate the increase of palm oil imports in February. It is predicted arrivals of palm oil at ports shall amount to 500,000 tons in February, 400,000 tons in March. The first quarter of this year may see China bring in 1.4 million MT palm oil, parallel to the same period of last year.From “China Oil and Oilseeds Market Weekly Report”
