Raw Milk: designated monitoring results from the General Services of Animal Husbandry of MOA indicate milk price kept at a high level during the first three weeks of March, 2013. The average raw milk price of the ten main farming provinces stood at 3.42 yuan/kg, similar as in same period of February or up 4.3% year on year. Dairy farming profit sustained a downward slope due to the minor rally of corn and soymeal price during the same period.

Feed: the average spot price for corn and soymeal kept on surging during the first three weeks of March, 2013. The average was 2.46 yuan/kg and 4.30 yuan/kg respectively. Corn price was 0.4% higher from the same period of February or 4% higher year on year. Meanwhile the price for soymeal was 22.6% higher year on year and 0.4% higher from the same period of the previous month.
