Broiler Price Performance On April 24th

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-04-27 11:13:16China Agriculture Report Print BroilerOn April 24th, 2013, in the major broiler wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh chicken meat is RMB13.71Yuan/KG, down 0.87% compared with last week. The purchasing price from farms of broiler chicken was RMB7.28Yuan/KG this week, up 12.34% compared with last week, the chick price was RMB0.28 each, down 45.10% compared with last week. Influences from H7N9 bird flu incident still went on this week and wholesale price of fresh chicken meat continued declining. Chicken stores are closed in some areas. In BOABC’s opinion, as it is not clear of the developing trend of the bird flu, buyers are limited and the price is high. Therefore, it is predicted chicken price shall go on with the downward trend, but the downward pace shall slow down significantly.
 
This week the average wholesale price of live broilers is RMB6.50Yuan/KG in main producing regions, down 35.00% compared with last week. Domestic trading markets of live poultry are closed in succession. To reduce loss, breeding industry list live broiler in advance and sell to slaughter houses for cryopreservation. It is predicted price for broiler shall go on declining with no significant improvement in short terms. (Figure 6)
