Pesticide Output Saw a Decline
By CnAgri2013-05-09 10:50:59 Print In the first 3 months of 2013, output of 359 major enterprises hit 0.875m tons, down 0.5%, including 291,000 tons in March, down 6.5% over last year however up 2.0% over last month.In 1Q, both insecticide and fungicide experienced a month-by-month decline, the former declined by 1.6%, 14.5% and 16.8%, showing a widening decline. That of fungicide was 9.1%, 16.7% and 11.0%. On the other hand, herbicide output increased by over 400,000 tons, up 8.2% over last year, and its proportion in total output went up to 46.4% from 42.9%. however, that of insecticide went down to 19.5% from previous 22.1%.
Besides, output of growth regulator, bio-pesticide added up to 266,000 tons, down 3.2%, accounting for 30.4% of total output, down 0.9% over last year.
