Structural Overcapacity of Panel Board Suppressed Manufacturers

By CnAgri2013-10-30 11:35:57 Print According to statistics from State Forestry Administration, China’s panel board sales increased from 88.042 million cubic meters in 2007 to 272 million cubic meters in 2012 and annual growth rate went over 20%. But influenced by domestic real estate regulations and international economy situation, sale growth rate  of panel board began slowing down since 2010. In 2012, panel board output and sales registered 286 million cubic meters and 272 million cubic meters respectively, up 21.56% and 17.17% YOY respectively.
 
With demand decrease of panel board and people paying more attention to healthy and environmental products, the structural overcapacity condition became more serious.  Plus with increase of raw material price and labor cost, the manufacturers were more and more pressed.
 
To develop under such unfavorable environment, manufacturers have many things to do, such as integrating timber resources , building long-term wood procurement system, improving environmental performance, accelerating  pace of producing new products  and raising brand visibility.
