Conditions Not Ripe for Hog Futures Trading
By CnAgri2013-10-31 11:03:35 Print China Securities Regulatory Commission has recently declared that hog futures trading is not likely to be launched in the short run because of many problems: difficulty of standardization of hog futures, lack of state criteria for such trading, the nation’s small proportion of scale hog production, risk of outbreak of epidemics, etc. If hog futures are launched when conditions are not ripe, hog cash market may be heavily affected and big price fluctuations may occur as a result. From “China Livestock and Feed Market Weekly Report”
