The 2 minute, 37 second alfalfa IPM video was produced this summer.
In the video, step-by-step instructions are shared on how to identify parasitized caterpillars under field conditions, and how to use this information to manage caterpillar pests to help reduce pesticide use and production costs in alfalfa.
The link to the video is https://youtu.be/8_9zpYyY7Ig, and is also available through the UC IPM guidelines for alfalfa hay production at: http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/selectnewpest.alfalfa-hay.html.
The video producers include Peter Goodell, Cooperative Extension advisor with the UC IPM Statewide Program, the UC IPM communications team, UCCE’s Rachel Long, and videographer-editor Ray Lucas of UC Agriculture and Natural Resources Communication Services.
