Corn Price Declined to a Low Point

Corn:On April 17th, 2013, the average wholesale price of feed corn in main production areas is RMB2,385Yuan/MT, down 0.64% compared with last week. Influenced by H7N9 flu, corn price declined considerably, especially in NC, the price dropped from high level. Corn quotation in southern ports declined to the low point of last October. What’s more, no evidences show that influences of the bird flu are to be ended. Related enterprises are not quite willing to purchase grains. In short terms, corn market shall keep weak. But it is still advised that users have certain stocks of quality corns in case that price goes up after relieve of negative impacts of the bird flu. (Table 1)
