Local Governments Rescue Poultry Industry

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-05-13 11:26:46China Agriculture Report Print Shandong has recently adopted a series of measures to prop up the poultry industry: First, grandparent generation breeding hens and roosters are given a subsidy of RMB15/bird. Second, backbone agricultural enterprises’ poultry product procurement is given a subsidy of RMB100/MT. Third, poultry farms and slaughterhouses are exempted from urban land use tax, real estate tax and vehicle tax during the epidemic period. Fourth, efforts are made to ensure smooth distribution of poultry products.
 
Chongqing government has taken the following measures to support poultry production: First, poultry-breeding farms are provided a subsidy of RMB10/bird. Second, the government arranges for the procurement of 5,000 MT broilers and ducks before the end of May and procurement companies are provided a subsidy of RMB1,000/MT.
