Broiler Price to Rebound Slightly

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-05-13 11:32:38China Agriculture Report Print BroilerOn May 8th, 2013, in the major broiler wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh chicken meat is RMB13.57Yuan/KG, down 1.02% compared with last week. The purchasing price from farms of broiler chicken was RMB8.18Yuan/KG this week, up 12.36% compared with last week, the chick price was RMB1.95 each, up 596.43% compared with last week. Negative news about H7N9 bird flu saw reduce recently and poultry meat price recovered gradually. With Temperature rising, it is not suitable for survival of H7N9 virus. It predicted broiler market shall recover gradually and chicken price will also rebound gradually.
 
This week the average wholesale price of live broilers is RMB7.12Yuan/KG in main producing regions, up 9.54% compared with last week. Domestic trading markets of live poultry are opened in some areas with reduce of negative news about H7N9 bird flu. Broiler sales see certain recovery. It is predicted price for broiler shall go up gradually in short terms. (Figure 4)
