In the first quarter of 2015 China imported 5,896.7 tons, down by 1.3% from last year.
 
As for importers, China imported 4,158 tons from Spain, and 628 tons from Italy, accounting for about 70% and 11% of the total, and the former import volume up by 26.5% from last year and the latter figure down by -53.4% YOY. In addition, the import quantity from Morocco, Greece and Turkey respectively accounted for about 4% of the total.
 
From enterprises, Shanghai Kerry, Shanghai Textile Materials Corp, Hi tech Venture Investment Company Limited, Qingdao Golden Olive Marketing Co. Ltd, and Changzhou Dahua Import & Export Co., Ltd respectively imported 749.2 tons, 254.9tons, 240 tons, 234 tons and 215.1 tons palm oil, ranking the top five. The others are Kerry (Guangzhou) Grain & Oil Co., Ltd; Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone Universal Logistics Center Co., Ltd, China Cast International Trade Co., Ltd, Shanghai Hongqiao Airport Logistics Co Ltd, and Beijing Zhongbei Wanxing International Trade Co., Ltd. The top ten enterprises’ import volume accounted for 43% of the total.
