Compared to 2017, The Subsidies to Corn Processing Companies in Jilin and Heilongjiang Weakened

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2018-03-22 10:51:41China Agriculture Report Print Recently, Jilin and Heilongjiang released subsidy policies for corn further processing companies. Compared to 2017, there were no changes on standards of subjects of enjoying subsidies, but the subsidies weakened.

Of which, Jilin included further processing companies and feed companies with annual processing of more 0.1 million MT in the scope of subsidies; Heilongjiang would follow the old rule that further processing companies with annual processing of more 0.1 million MT or whose annual sales revenues are upward of 20 million RMB are in the list of subsidies.

However, the new policy shows two obvious changes mentioned below:
First, the time of enjoying subsidies is shortened. These two provinces require that corn further processing companies listed in the scope of enjoying subsidies should finish purchase and warehouse-in during the period from March 15, 2018 to April 30, 2018, and also process and consume new corn produced in 2017 before June 30, 2018. Namely, the time is shortened to one month from five months, and the subsidies are less than 2017.

Second, the subsidies reduce. The subsidies in Heilongjiang decrease down to RMB 100/MT from RMB 150/MT; the subsidies in Jilin go down to RMB 100/MT from RMB 200/MT.
