Fertilizer Price Trends with Start of Spring Plowing

UREA:  urea price kept stable with decrease with fewer turnovers this week. Urea price was supported mainly by fertilizer stocking recently. Later with temperature rising, demand for fertilizer shall increase and the price shall also go high correspondingly.  (Figure 1)
 
ABC: ABC retail price kept stable at RMB710Yuan/MT this week, down about RMB50/MT compared with last year. (Figure 2)
 
DAP: Cold weather in NE recently has caused gloomy market condition of DAP and the market sale is also delayed to late March or early April, which caused DAP price to decline. Later DAP price trend shall depend on export of DAP in May.  (Figure 3)
 
NPK:  this week NPK market is relatively stable and some manufacturers raised price by within RMB50/MT. With the start of plowing, orders increase and operating rates also raise. In NC, some manufacturers begin to focus on producing corn fertilizer used in summer and production of high nitrogen fertilizer increase. (Figure 4)
 
MOP: Domestic MOP turnovers went so-so. With coming of spring, MOP demand increased. Turnover of domestic MOP was good and the price went stable. As for border trade in NE, MOP price continued declining with large amounts of MOP transportation. (Figure 5) 
 
SOP: SOP price went stable this week. Tight supply was slightly noted. With demand increase of fertilizer for vegetables and fruits, turnovers of SOP increased. (Figure 6)
