Broiler Price On Jan. 16th

China Agriculture Report By CnAgri2013-01-18 11:30:29China Agriculture Report Print     On Jan. 16th, 2013, in the major broiler wholesale markets of the 36 medium-and-large sized cities, the average price of fresh chicken meat is RMB14.77Yuan/KG, up 1.51% compared with last week. The purchasing price from farms of broiler chicken was RMB8.98Yuan/KG this week, down 3.13% compared with last week, the chick price was RMB0.52 each, down10.34% compared with last week. Affected by “fast growing chicken” event, demand for chicken decreased. Therefore, it is predicted chicken price shall fluctuate with adjustment in short periods.
 
    This week the average wholesale price of live broilers is RMB17.34Yuan/KG in main producing regions, down 2.09% compared with last week. Demand for yellow broiler chicken increased recently promoted by holiday consumption, and the price is predicted to keep high. (Figure 5)
